Godfrey Memorial Library: A genealogy library located in Middletown, CT. The book collection, about 16,000 volumes, is divided into three main categories: family genealogy, local history, and biography. Coverage is mainly New England and the thirteen original colonies, but material on other states is acquired whenever possible. This is a fantastic resource and a wonderful place to visit.
Connecticut State Library: There is a large Genealogy Department located in the basement. A great musty-book-smelling place with tremendous CT (and other states) resources for family history research.

You may use the I Found It! search engine to locate pages on; surnames, one name studies, ship passenger lists, genealogical societies and associations, researchers, software, books, family mailing lists, online records of churches, census data, and cemeteries, and more.
Search Common Threads to find other genealogists researching your family name. If you are at a
"dead end" finding information on an ancestor, add an entry to Common Threads so other family
members can find you!
