Connecticut Genealogy Resources and Libraries

Godfrey Memorial Library: A genealogy library located in Middletown, CT. The book collection, about 16,000 volumes, is divided into three main categories: family genealogy, local history, and biography. Coverage is mainly New England and the thirteen original colonies, but material on other states is acquired whenever possible. This is a fantastic resource and a wonderful place to visit.

Connecticut State Library: There is a large Genealogy Department located in the basement. A great musty-book-smelling place with tremendous CT (and other states) resources for family history research.
